On Saturday, July 24th, New York City will be the place to be! Put on your best black tie attire, and your dopest kicks “sneakers” for a NIGHT OF CELEBRATION  TO REMEMBER! 

Renowned Photographer and Creative, Ismail ‘Calligrafist’ Sayeed will be hosting the FIRST annual Eid Gala! “The Eid Gala'', will be the first of many events brought together by this collective.  Bringing together Muslims of all walks of life… athletes, teachers, scholars, artists, influencers and many others to celebrate Eidul Adha, this event is unique to its kind. Calligrafist and his associates are aiming to introduce the beauty of one of the biggest holidays of the Muslim faith in New York City, at the astonishing Tillary Hotel (85 Flatbush Ave Ext, Brooklyn, NY 11201). The Gala will have an evening full of celebration, red carpet experiences, gifting, interactive galleries, ending with an extravagant dinner and keynote speech by Shaykh Ubaydullah Evans. The collective will be honoring successful Muslims, such as Athlete/Activist Bilqis Abdul-Qaadir, Cultural Critic Wayno, and many other influential guests!

The Goal is to Show The Beauty/Diversity of Islam, Especially being a 2nd Generation Muslim American. Representation Matters, and The Eid Gala is a Means of Controlling Our Narrative While Giving Back, Looking Good and Celebrating Faith, Community and American Muslim Culture.

“The Eid Gala”,  will exhibit uniqueness, not only because of the magnitude of the event, but because of the people it will bring together! Both Muslim and those of all other faiths, will come dressed to impress and rocking their flyest sneakers. Doors will open at 5pm PROMPTLY; starting off with a red carpet experience complete with a step and repeat followed by a reception, mingling and an interactive sneaker experience. Sponsored by sneaker/footware companies such as Footlocker, Stadium Goods, Odd Sox, among many other Muslim owned businesses, attendees will get the ultimate gifting experience. Ending the night with a Halal dinner prepared by Chef Mikail Sayeed in the ballroom honoring special guests, which will start promptly at 7pm.   MORE DETAILS TO COME!
